Prologue

Introduced to DIY in the 90s by his father, a nature lover and compulsive collector of discarded materials (at a time when picking up a piece of discarded glass, wood or plastic from a garbage can was a marginal and socially frowned-upon act), Arnaud was therefore naturally interested in appropriating and reusing damaged, marked or worn materials to create his furniture-objects.
More than just furniture, these productions (limited to a few pieces per series) are an opportunity to reflect deeply on mankind and its relationship with its environment. Deforestation, fires and the abusive exploitation of natural resources are all themes explored in his work. His organic, patinated, poetic, rough and refined creations highlight the beauty of imperfection and the singularity of materials, texture and color shaped by life and time.
